Obituary of Elizabeth A. Hornquist

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Hornquist, age 84, of Eden, New York died Monday, April 25, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 26, 1932 in Buffalo, New York; a daughter of the late Benjamin E. and Margaret (Rohr) Fleegal. Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Eden. She was also a member of the Eden Senior Citizens. She was an excellent bowler; she was a member of the Thursday Morning Bowling League for many years. She was a CPR and first aid instructor for the Eden Emergency squad for 7 years. She will be remembered as the center of the Hornquist family; a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Devoted wife of Paul Hornquist, Loving mother of Bonnie (Christopher) Zuppinger, Paul (Brenda) Hornquist, Benjamin (JoAnn) Hornquist and Terri (Robert) Yetter. Loving grandmother of Amanda, Melissa, Matthew, Nicholas, Samantha, Amber, Austin, Zachery and Colton. Sister of Joan Fleegal and the late Lois Berlinghoff. Lifelong friend of Patricia Guerra.
