Dear Family Members, I took Chris’s place as Principal of the GLP and I feel indebted to him for his strong mentoring and encouragement. Chris was a a dedicated Eden Central Administrator who was committed to all his diverse roles. He demonstrated strong communication skills and excellent problem solving abilities. He was adept at building relationships with staff, students and parents. I feel grateful to have worked with Chris and feel much of my success was due to his fine example as a strong leader. Rest in Peace my dear friend. Kathie Saab

Sue, Lori and family, I’m sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I have many memories of him, the fondest dating to the mid-1980s when I would make an annual appearance at the middle school dressed as a Civil War soldier to speak to fourth graders about the Civil War. I would have to check in at the office upon arrival on each occasion and your dad and I would share conversation and a few jokes as I waited for an escort to walk me to the classroom when they were ready. I’d then proceed down those echoing halls with the steel heel protector plates on my boots clicking louder than tap shoes while carrying an antique rifle slung over my back. It was definitely a different time! My prayers. Brad Smith
