this was a very sad day for me when i heard the news..i have known bob since i was about 10 yrs old..i lived with them for a year also...i was one of his many camping buddies when he went to allegany st park..he used to go hunting with my older brother hank.i was best friends with his younger brother mark when we were teenagers.i liked listening to his stories..he was the the most upbeat person i have ever known...he did though make it into his 70,s , which is a good thing....still a sad day for me to hear the news.

Rest easy Bob. It was an honor to work with you as a member of the SAL 880 board with the Legion. May you watch over all your comrades , friends and family. We will meet again at some point

Bob and I worked very closely together for a few years as Bob was the Football Coordinators and I as the Cheer Coordinator. This man was ALL about the kids. I saw many times where he stood his ground defending “ our kids” (as we called our Little Loop kids”). Being at the field 8 am helping me set up and both staying at 5 pm to clean up during our home games, and anything I needed for our cheer competitions he would be right there . This man was a great hard working man!!! Rest in Peace Bob..

My dad first took the job of being the Little loop commissioner because of my son being on the team, but he cared about every single one of those kids and always put what was in their best interest ahead of anything else, even as you said, stood his ground. He didn’t mind staying there the long hours helping and making sure everything ran smoothly. And made sure the children had everything they needed.
