Danny meant a lot to me, he was my best friend. He would always send a good morning and good night and make me laugh in between. He will be missed dearly. I still can't believe he is gone. Forever in my prayers

To the family of Danny Morano,
Thank you for opening this tribute on Danny’s behalf. And I wish to convey my deepest condolences for your loss. It may be comforting for you to know that Danny has a considerable community of online friends including myself.
Of all my online friends Danny consistently went out of his way to make me feel special. Looking back he had definitely added some color in my black and white life, though we lived on different worlds we discovered having common interests and ideals, passions and of course our cats.
I recall first meeting him on Instagram late 2019 just before the Covid pandemic. I was having a break about 4 am PST in my job as the Night shift nurse. He wanted to send me a gift and things kind of took off from there. I wasn’t long until I realize he was growing fond of me, I was reluctant, if circumstances where different than they are but I enjoyed the daily “Good mornings!” photos of his daily life, his beautiful rural ranch setting, and places of interest. Perhaps one day I’d like to visit Folly Beach with him.
Some of our memories? We exchanged gifts on our respective birthdays/Christmas, where I’d send him a hand written card with a few choice collector’s silver but usually my favorite traditional Chinese Mooncakes. Danny would order for me products that are unavailable in Canada, sneaking little gifts with my orders. A favorite is a Ross & Simons Jewelled Bat pendant but also a matching 14k Bat friendship ring. Another time I sent him one of my Gothic Punk garters. I recall a lovely Japanese Miho Matsuda ‘Pullip’ doll in his possession, she will remind him of me, all she needed is a little silver Katana. He also turned me into a Bill’s fan.
He shared a dream he had one evening not long ago. It was a dream of being at the Armed Forces Annual Ball with me. The music selection is “It’s been a long, long time.” by Kitty Kallen. The stage band would play the intro, and I’d imagine Danny in his dashing formal uniform walking over to me. I would be wearing my vintage white pokadot black gown. He puts out his white gloved hand in proper gesture, “Ms. Ravenhill, will you give me the honor of this dance?” I would smile and place my black gloved hand onto his, “Why yes. I would be delighted Sir.” That evening after learning of his passing I put on that dress and played his music selection, and imagined dancing with him, perhaps when our souls next meet.
With love I will miss you Danny.
Rest in Peace.

To the family of Dr. Who (Danny),
I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences for the loss of one of the greatest people I’ve ever known. Danny was more than just a friend—he was a light in our lives. Always making us laugh, always lifting our spirits. Even when he was sick, he hid his pain just so we wouldn’t worry. That’s who he was—strong, selfless, and full of love.
Since 2015, Danny was a true friend to me. Always supportive, always kind, and always real. He created communities, brought people together, and made sure no one ever felt left out. He was funny, cool, and just so full of heart.
One thing I always admired was his passion for collecting rare gold and silver coins. He had an incredible eye for beauty and history. His collection was a reflection of him—rich, unique, and full of stories. I sincerely hope his family will one day preserve it, maybe even turn it into a museum. It would be a beautiful way to honor his legacy.
Danny loved deeply, especially his cat Athena. I hope they are now together, at peace, watching over us. He never hated anyone, only gave love and laughter.
His sudden passing is a shocking and painful loss—not just to his family, but to all of us who knew him. We’ve lost a truly great man, a rare soul, and an irreplaceable friend.
Rest in peace, champ - Dr. Who—Danny. You will always be remembered and deeply missed.
With all my love and sorrow,
Yousef AL_Yousef
