Obituary of Gloria L. Schreiner
Gloria L. Schreiner, age 75, of Hamburg, New York died September 14, 2025 in her home. She was born in Buffalo, New York to Leo and Dorothy Brzoska.
Gloria married the love of her life, Ronald Schreiner. They were married 30 years. Together they would attend all of the grandchildren’s events. The grandchildren meant the world to Gloria.
She was devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Hamburg and was a member of the Secular Discalced Carmelites, a lay Carmelite prayer group that live Carmelite spirituality in their daily lives, including contemplative prayer, community, and service. They make a commitment to the Carmelite Order to pursue holiness while remaining in their families and professions. Gloria enjoyed not just watching sports and rooting for her beloved Buffalo Bills and Yankees, but she enjoyed playing as well. She was a phenomenal bowler, winning a number of state championships, golfing and playing bingo as if it were a sport. She was an avid reader and animal lover. Especially dogs.
She is survived by her husband Ronald, her daughter, Jonica DiMartino, her grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna and Kate DiMartino, a sister, Judith (late William) Swagler and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 3PM-7PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St., Eden, NY and a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Hamburg.
