Obituary of Maria A. Cockerel

Maria A. Cockerel, age 74 of Eden, New York passed away January 19, 2026. She was born in Buffalo, New York. She was a daughter of the late Antonio and Lucille Zarbo. She married her devoted husband Tim on June 15, 1974 in Hollywood Florida.

She was an avid quilter and a tremendous cook. She worked for the New York State Parole Department for 31 years.

She is survived by her husband Tim, her children Jamie (Tony) Balone and Jack (Katie) Cockerel, her grandchildren, Emma, Sawyer, Faith, Hailey, and Timmy Max.

Also survived by her brother Joseph (Kelly) Zarbo.

Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 4PM-6PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY.
