Obituary of David R. Mesmer

David R. Mesmer, age 90, passed away peacefully. He was the beloved son of the late John and Isabelle Mesmer and the devoted husband of the late Donna Mesmer.

David was a loving father to David Mesmer, Timothy Mesmer, the late Debbie Mesmer, Garey (Carol) Mesmer, Darryl (Lori) Mesmer, and Kimberley (Mark) Hammersmith.

He was a proud grandfather to John (Tarayn), Dawn (Amy), Kate (Kelly), Brittany, Joseph, Patrick, James, and Kyle. David was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.

David was a hardworking and self-driven businessman who took great pride in being an entrepreneur. He had a talent for carpentry and truly enjoyed working with his hands. In his younger years he was a wrestler and throughout his life he remained a fan of sports. He especially loved baseball and fishing, and enjoyed watching football and golf.

Most of all, David cherished the time spent with his family and the many memories they shared together. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness, and the love he had for those around him.

Family and friends may call on March 13th from 4:00–8:00 PM followed by a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on March 14^th at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY.
