Obituary of Amanda M. Guadagno

Amanda Marie Guadagno, age 42, of Eden, New York passed away unexpectedly from complications of surgery.

Amanda was born on May 17, 1983 in Buffalo, New York to John and Christie (Hughes) Guadagno.

Amanda was known as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend and nurse. She graduated from Eden Central School in 2001 and went on to pursue a career in nursing after she graduated from Trocaire College.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for 18 years at Mercy Hospital and was currently working at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the infusion clinic.

Amanda was a loving and caring person with an infectious laugh and a smile that would brighten up any room she entered. She was known for her big heart and had a lot of love for animals, especially for her dog, Finley, as well as her cats. She enjoyed fishing, camping, concerts, dancing, singing, laughing, working and spending time with her sister and her “cuzbuds.”

Besides her parents, John and Christie Guadagno, Amanda is survived by a sister Angela, a nephew Nathan, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amanda carries on her legacy of her caring, compassion and joy of taking care of others by donating her organs to give life to others.

Her spirit will live on in us forever as she will be eternally missed.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday, April 17, 2026 from 2-4PM and 6-9PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY followed by a Celebration of life on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:00AM in the Eden United Methodist Church, 2820 E. Church St., Eden, NY.
