Anthony Lardo, 78, of Eden, New York, a life long resident of Eden, died Friday, October 14, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in his residence on February 26, 1933, the son of the late Anthony Lardo, Sr. and Lena (nee: DeCarlo) Lardo. He married his loving wife, Patsy A. Roberts on September 10, 1955. They were married for 55 years and 15 days, until Patsy's death on September 26, 2010. Mr. Lardo worked on the family farm for his whole life. He was very proud to have a part in the history of the Lardo Family Farm, which will be celebrating its 100th year in the year 2012. His family and his farm meant everything to him. He had a special love and loyalty to his family. Mr. Lardo also had a loyalty to his friends, including his many friends from within the Amish Community in Western New York. He also worked for the New York Thruway for 30 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. Husband of late Pasty A (nee: Roberts) Father of Laureen (Christopher) Flores, Anthony Lardo, Barbara (Donald) Belzile, Constance (Ronald) Grainer, and Ellen (Donald) Preischel. Brother of late Frances Rome, late George (Dorothy)Lardo, late Josephine (Aurelo) Tubero,late Caroline (Daniel) Duhan, late Louis Lardo, late Mary (Laurence) Lowell, late Genevieve (Joseph Rybicki) Quinn, late Antoinette Lardo, & Lucille (Thomas) Breidenstein. Grandfather of 9 and Great Grandfather of 1 Family invites friends to call Monday, October 17, 2011 from 7-9PM & Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY 14057 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Eden.
