Alma Agle, formerly of Eden, NY, died January 15, 2012 in Clarkston, Michigan following a gathering of her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1917 in her home in Eden, NY to the late Walter and Clara Miller. Alma was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eden where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was an active member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and crafted quilts for Lutheran World Relief as well as for children and grandchildren, her pride and joy. Her commitment to family and others was a testament to her faith filled life. Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert M. Agle. her sister, Martha Pfarner, and brother, Herman Miller. She is survived by five children, Jane (Jonathan) Guelzow, Kristina (John) Burow, Marla (Bruce) Dixon, Joyce (Jeffrey) Burmester and Robert (Barbara) Agle. Alma delighted in her nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Seth and Daniel (Katie) Guelzow, Andrew (Melanie) and Benjamin Burow, Bethany (Jay) Schult, David (Kendra), Kristiana and Lauren Dixon and one great granddaughter, Breanne Guelzow. The family invites friends to call Thursday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Laing's Funeral Home in Eden and from 10 - 11 AM Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A funeral service celebrating Alma's life and faith will begin at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials for Alma may be made to Lutheran World Relief or Camp Pioneer, Angola, NY.
