George J. Rukavina, 74 of Eden, New York died Thursday, November 29, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 4, 1938, the son of George and Amelia (Dolinar) Rukavina.
He married the former Carolyn A. Haag on May 15, 1965 at St. Mary's RC. Church, Eden, NY.
He was a loving husband, brother and uncle, who was known for his love of preparing wood for his wood burning stove.
Besides his wife he is survived by a sister; Bernadine (Zoltan) Almasi; brother Donald (Mona) Rukavina; and sister Barbara Gilson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother; John Rukavina
A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10AM at St. Mary's Oratory, Eden, NY
Followed by a military service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
