Jeanette M. (Vincent) Northrop, 97, of Busti, NY, died Sunday February 17, 2013 in Gulf Coast Rehabilitation Village Cape Coral Florida following a brief illness. She was born March 29, 1915 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of George and Mabel (Arnold) Vincent. She attended a one room school house in Frewsburg, NY and Jamestown Schools. On June 25, 1936 she married her loving husband of over 40 years Norman (Tim) Northrop who predeceased her April 1977. Jeanette was a homemaker and dedicated mother and grandmother to all. She enjoyed holidays with family and friends and enjoyed preparing the food. She was a member of the Busti Federated Church, a dedicated life member of the Busti Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary since 1941 where she gave numerous hours of service. She liked marching with the Auxiliary in the Drum and Bugle Corps. events. Jeanette was always ready willing and able to help out especially at the Busti Gala Days and the famous Gala Days Fish Fry. Jeanette also looked forward to traveling with her son Robert N. (Bob) Northrop and his wife Sue who Jeanette acknowledged as a daughter. She is survived by her son Robert N. (Sue) Northrop her caregivers of Busti and Cape Coral Fl, two grandsons Ted R. Northrop of Busti and Tyler W. Northrop of Charlotte N.C. and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers Wilton Vincent, Clifford Vincent, and her twin brother Audette Vincent.
