Robert J. Hoelscher, 76, of East Eden, New York, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born April 7, 1937 in East Eden, NY. He was the son of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Eggert) Hoelscher. He was a lifelong resident; growing up on the family farm and later becoming a partner of the Hoelscher Brothers Farm.
He married his loving wife, late Nancy M. (nee Bartz) in 1967. Nancy passed away May 5, 2003.
He was known for his loving and caring personality. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the loving father of Mary (Eric) Burt and Julie (Jeff) Abell;
Grandfather of Eric, Jr., Claire and Nicholas; Brother of Victor (Edna), late Joseph (Elvira), David (Noreen) Hoelscher, Miriam (Harold) Haier and Albert Hoelscher and
brother-in-law of Sally Hoelscher, Donald (Angie) Bartz and Marie (Dennis) Hallock.
Family invites friends to call Monday, October 7, 2013 from 7-9pm and Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W, Church St. Eden, NY 14057.
A Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday 10:00AM, St. Mary's Oratory, East Eden. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
