Obituary of Marjorie J. Lape-Blasdell

Marjorie J. Lape-Blasdell, age 85, of Springville, New York went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born March 3, 1929 in Ashville, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Ray Swope and Anna Mae Carpenter. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Springville. She will be remembered for her strong faith in Christ and her love of studying the Bible. She enjoyed picking wild flowers and watching the birds. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially for the holidays. She is predeceased by her parents; her husbands, Carl Lape and Roy Blasdell, her siblings, Iola, Evelyn, Ray and Eleanor. She is survived by her children; Cheryl (Ken) O’Connell, Sherwin (Cheryl) Lape, Noelene (Paul) Stumpf, Lorna (Dave) Sherr and Russell (Judy) Lape; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Burial will be in Morton’s Corners Cemetery, Springville, NY. Pastor Kevin Friedman of the Faith Baptist Church, Springville, will officiate.
