Obituary of Margaret E. Schwippert

Margaret E. Schwippert of Marilla, NY died suddenly on March 24, 2015. She was 59. She was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Alice Bristow and was originally from Hamburg, NY. Peggy was one of four children which included three brothers; the late Arthur Roger Bristow of Hamburg, Robert Bristow (Barbara) of Ithaca, NY, and John Bristow (Peggy) of Olathe, KS. Margaret went by the name of Peggy and was a 1974 graduate of Hamburg High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from D’Youville College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for her entire professional career, most recently at Lifetime Health. Peggy was married to Mark T. Schwippert of Eden, NY in 1985. They moved to Marilla in 1987. Peggy was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter Kelly and son Matthew. She also had a special affinity for her dog, Onyx, a black Labrador. Both of Peggy’s children were involved in sports and she took special pride in supporting their events. Along with her husband, she spent many hours at numerous swim meets, including a trip to the 2012 Olympic Trials to watch her son compete. Her daughter was also an accomplished swimmer and swim coach. No prior visitation. Private Services to be held at the convenience of the family.
