Ethel D. Kappus, age, 90, of Eden, New York died, Monday, June 29, 2015. She was born January 18, 1925 in Lackawanna, New York. She was a daughter of late Max. A. and Anna Sickau.
She had a life-long dedication to the St. John’s Community Church in Eden. Alongside her husband; the late John W. Kappus, she ran the Kappus Family Farm on Shadagee Road. Ethel handled the book keeping in a precious and meticulous manner. She will be remembered for her flower and vegetable garden.
Besides her parents, Ethel is predeceased in death by her loving husband John W. Kappus, a brother; Maxwell Sickau, 2 sisters; Elma Kaufman and Viola Anderson.
She is survived by three sons; Kenneth (Patrice) Kappus, William (Nanette) Kappus and John (Kathy) Kappus, a sister; Edna Braman, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren
Family invites friends to call on Thursday, July2, 2015 from 2-4PM &7-9PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc 2724 W. Church St. Eden.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015; 1PM at St. John’s Community Church, Eden.
Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial to St. John’s Scholarship Fund or Eden Emergency Squad.
