Obituary of Edith M. Brusehaber
Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Family and friends gathered last Wednesday to celebrate the life of Edith Brusehaber, born Edith Muriel Zittel in Boston, N.Y., who passed away on September 26 at age 88 in the family farmhouse where she lived most of her life. She was predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 62 years, Richard, who lived and worked on the Brusehaber dairy farm the entirety of his 86 years.
Edith was a hard-working wife and mother to Ellyn (Phil) Charette, Roger (Kathleen) Brusehaber, Joyce (Ken) Finnegan, Barbara (Ken) McMurray, Jane (late Frank) Weidner, and Susan (Jeffrey) Ferguson.
Sister of Joan (late Allen) Mammoser, late Jeanne Munich, Donald (Pat) Zittel and Edwin Zittel. Cherished grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of seven.
She was a constant and faithful partner to Richard. A loving mother and grandparent, she mastered canning, pickling, jam-making, baking, cooking, gardening, quilting, sewing, and the daily newspaper’s Word Jumble.
Her children and grandchildren are forever grateful for the legacy of good health, humor, wit, common sense, compassion, work ethic, and kinship given them by Edith. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3487 N. Boston Rd., Eden or Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240.
