Dear Steven,
I know your Dad. Not personally, but I know your Dad. He raised you, and you are him.
This is a man to be loved and respected. A man who lived life, and encompassed people along the way to be the best that they could be. This is a man who God considers a confidant. This is a mam to pray to.... for he has the ear of God.
I know you are sad, and I know you are lonely; but you are his footprint on this Earth.
Thank you for letting me know your Dad, through you.

Aunt Beaulah, Steve and Mike, loved ones:
Lawrence and I express our most sincere sorrow at the passing of Uncle Gene. We feel the loss, even though we are so far away - we are never far away in our feelings for you all.
Revelation 21:4
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying . . . for the former things are passed away.

My family wishes to extend our condolences to Beaulah and the family.
Gene was such a great guy. Always a smile on his face and with a great attitude. When we started attending St. Paul's, he always went out of his way to say hello.
We will miss him.

I always get a smile remembering Mr. Wing kidding us when visiting up at his house -- while also having the knack of dropping some sage advice to [us] budding young men; in the hope that we'll be able to apply his words of wisdom.
Always interested in 'old cars' Mr. W always had good comments about my GTO - despite it's condition.
My prayers are with him and the Wing family during this difficult and sad time.

To Mrs. Wing, Steve, and Mike: I was so saddened to learn of your loss. I always enjoyed chatting with him, most recently just three months ago, at my Dad's funeral. He was a true Christian, always selflessly giving of himself and wanting the best for everyone. When we were in high school he made Sunday School fun - it was something that I think we all looked forward to, and it was because of him and his leadership. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Gene was one of those rare people who will be remembered not only for his goodness, kindness, and helpfulness, but also for his humor and wit. I feel certain that God welcomed him immediately, and I thank God for Gene's influence in our lives, which doesn't end even now. My deepest sympathy to Beulah, Steve, and Mike and other family members.

I remember how happy you were when Mike and I got married. Especially, how happy you were at the church that day. We know how much you loved Zach, PJ, and Spencer and they love you so much in return. Amongst many things you did with them, they remember the bedtime stories. I am grateful to have married Mike and to have gotten to be a part of your family. We love you forever. The boys will grow-up to make you proud.

So sory to hear about Gene's passing. He had a very positive impact on my life when he served as the Youth Pastor/ Sunday School teacher for Orchard Park Wesleyan over 40 years ago. Gene volunteered to teach our Sunday School class of 8 to 10 rambunctious boys. After the first year he taught us we were shocked he actually was willing to take our group on the next year as well! Gene had a marvelous sense of humor and really made us know he cared about us. Yet he challenged us about our faith in the Lord, for which I'm still grateful. I'll be praying for your family!
