Obituary of Aloysius Filipiak

Aloysius Filipiak, 93 of Eden, New York died Tuesday, June 14, 2016. He was born May 26, 1923 in Eden, New York; a son of the late Joseph and Helen Filipiak. He married the former Lillian Rys. Together they owned and operated the Pine Grove Dairy Farm. Mr. Filipiak was a Past President of the Farm Bureau, a member of the Upstate Dairy Co-Op and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Husband of Lillian (nee: Rys) Filipiak, father of Carolynn (late Paul) Schaefer, Susan (Randall) Gilbert, Lucille (Richard) Janiga, Jeanne (Robert) Donley and William Filipiak; brother of Helen (late Gene) Lewis, late Joann,Harry, Theodore, Edmund, Mary and Veronica. Grandfather of 12, great grandfather of 13, step-grandfather of two and step great grandfather of five. Family invites friends to call Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 4-7PM and Friday, June 16, 2016 from 9-11AM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY. Followed by an 11:30AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Eden. Burial will take place at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Eden. Flowers gratefully declined.
