Obituary of Marjory Jane Meckes

Marjory Jane (Nee: Behler) Meckes,"Kat" age 62 of Angola, New York entered into heaven Sunday, August 1, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 9, 1948, the daughter of Charles and Pearl Behler. Mrs. Meckes grew up in Lehighton, PA. She graduated from Lehighton Area High School in 1966. Mrs. Meckes attended Kutztown University after graduating from Lehighton School. She married her loving husband Kenneth J. Meckes, of 42 years, on December 7, 1969. She worked as a Claims Supervisor for Aetna Insurance Company in Reading, PA for 17 years. The couple lived in Centerport, PA and after their retirement in 1998 they dedicated their time to RV traveling. They traveled throughout the U.S. After touring the U.S. the couple settled in Angola, New York to be with their daughter and grandsons on their Alpaca Farms. Mrs. Meckes had a special love for cats, as she had rescued over 32 throughout the years. She enjoyed painting rocks as a hobby and sold many at craft outlets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be sadly miss by all those she leaves behind. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Cherish L. Meckes and grandsons Michael Masocco,Jr., and Trevor J. Masocco. Also surviving are two sister; Coreene (Michael) Musga, Charlene Graver and two brothers; Charles Behler, Jr., and Jerry Behler.
