I was so very surprised to read in the news that Jim had passed. I worked with Jim for many years at Emerson/Control Techniques. He was always such a happy guy with a great sense of humor and love. I could go to him with any questions I had and he would instantly help me. I must say that I did not always understand him as he had a very technical mind! He was a wonderful man and I will always have the most fond memories of him.

What a shock it is to hear of Jim's passing. During my 30 years at Emerson (and after) he was part of our work "family". Any question asked of Jim was happily answered with one of his classic explanations that he was famous for. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.

I was shocked to hear of Jim's passing. It is with my deepest sympathy to Jim's family and friends of this sudden bolt of lightning that has taken Jim. I have worked with Jim off and on for over 30 years. He always gave excellent council on any issue at hand. I will miss his refreshing directness and clever sense of humor. May his memory give you pause that brings a smile to your face and may time pass quickly during your time of healing.

Jimmy and I worked together for about 5 years at the Grand Island Emerson facility and I continued to interface with Jim until my retirement in 2013.
Jim was an outstanding and intelligent individual and a good person. He was always ready to help those in need. My heartfelt condolences to his family. He and you will be in my prayers.
