Obituary of E. William Palmerton

PALMERTON-E. William "Bill" 88, of Eden, NY; May 22, 2017.

Husband of nearly 67 years to Shirley E. (nee: Braymiller).

Father of Jeffrey D. (Betty) Palmerton, Marlene E. (Edward) Gardner and late Craig R. Palmerton.

Grandfather of Sean and Samuel Abbott, Hanna Palmerton, and Chandler (Chelsey) Gardner and great grandson Logan Gardner. 

He graduated from Bryant and Stratton Business School and the Dale Carnegie Course.  Bill worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 37 years and retired as a transportation supervisor. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home across North America, from Mexico to Alaska to California to Key West to Nova Scotia. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, bridge, euchre, gardening, horse shows, volunteering at the Erie County Fair and dogs Yippee, Ami and Sarah. He was a strong Christian and attended St Johns Community Church for 67 years. 

A memorial service will be held on May 27 at 11AM in St. John’s Community Church, 2871 E. Church St. Eden and lunch will be provided. 

Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the St. John’s Community Church Building Fund 2871 East Church St. Eden, NY 14057.
