Obituary of Elizabeth M. Bernard

Elizabeth “Beth” M. Bernard, age 59, of Eden, New York died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Beth was born August 2, 1957; a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Margaret E. (O’Neill) Bernard. Beth not only worked as an Executive Assistant for 37 years at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, but volunteered there as well. She was known for her selfless acts, always helping family and friend, even throughout her long battle with cancer. Beth belonged to many social groups that took her on many adventures. Beth was known for being very social and enjoyed her many groups of friends and their activities; whether it was traveling throughout the country or a trip to the casino, Beth enjoyed life. She was an avid card player and enjoyed the company of her longtime friends from her card club. 

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She was the loving sister of Eileen (Kevin) Noonan, Bruce Bernard, Daniel (Christine) Bernard, Nancy Brown, Maureen (Shane) Wease, Benjamin (Karen) Bernard and the late Ronald (Tina) Bernard.

 She was the niece of Maureen (late Brian) Bunn and James (Pam) O’Neill. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins and her devoted cat Tigger.

Family invites friends to call Friday, July 7, 2017 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY 14057.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church 10893 Sisson Highway, North Collins, NY.

Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
