Johanna M. Croft 76, of Lawtons, NY died Wednesday, August 11, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Aulma (Hartman) Croft. She was also the step daughter to the late Dorothy Croft. She was born February 1, 1934. She was a member of the Eden VFW Memorial Post # 8625, A member of the VFW's Ladies Auxiliary. She was a past Commander of the Navy Club. Mrs. Croft was known as a loving and gentle person, helping anyone who was in need. She had a special love for animals as the family always had a minimum of three dogs growing up. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She mad her family her livelihood. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Lawrence R. Croft, her children; Eve (Robert) Herr, Michael (Kathy) Lavtar, Kevin (Cheryl) Lavtar, David (Lorena) Lavtar, Brian (Dawn) Croft, Sean (Norma) Croft and her stepchildren, Tom and Elizabeth Palisoto, Larry and Judy Croft. Also surviving are her 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, three brothers; Neil (Dottie) McMullen, William (Pat) McMullen, and George (Renee) McMullen, two sisters; Shirley (Neil) Mardino and June (Vincent) Padalino, a sister in law Jerry McMullen and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 son; John Orban, a sister Wilma (Raymond) Preischel, 2 brothers; Eugene and Carl McMullen, and a daughter in law, Heidi Lavtar No Prior visitation. A Memorial service will be held Monday, August 16, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Laing Funeral Home, Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden NY.
