I went to Eden Central High school with Michael. We actually dated for close to 2 years. More friends than boyfriend and girl friends. He told me he sought me out for my sense of humor, open mind, big heart and fearlessness. I adored Michael for his wonderful sense of humor and his endless seaching for his identity and place. He was perfect as he was, wise beyond his years. He looked great in his penny loafers and always had a sense of fashion and style! Michael I will always remember your laugh and kindness. To Michael's family:
Michael was my classmate and good friend at Eden Central School. I have so many fond memories of our school years. Michael had a wicked sense of humor mixed with sarcasm, which made him so much fun to be around! We had our first Vodka Gimlet at Cole's in Buffalo. Michael and I felt so sophisticated ordering a drink like that. The drinking age was 18 back then. As teenagers, Michael and I would love to drive along Old Lake Shore Road and pretend we lived in one of the mansions on Lake Erie. Living in a small town like Eden, we loved going in to the "big city" of Buffalo to go shopping at the fancy stores, have lunch at The Tea Room at Hengerer's, and then go see a foreign film. After graduation, Michael went to Fordham and I went to the University of Miami. Michael would come down to Florida once in awhile when he had a break from school, and we would go to Miami Beach and have so much fun just hanging out. Later on, I became a Pan Am flight attendant and Michael became an American Airlines flight attendant. I always kept in touch with Michael's parents, Will and Rosemary, and through them, I could keep in touch with what Michael, Pat and Danny were doing. Will and Rosemary absolutely loved Michael's husband, John Sullivan. They were so happy Michael found this everlasting love with John.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of sorrow. Michael will be greatly missed.

Dear family of Michael,
I am so sorry and heartbroken about the loss of Michael. I was a Flight Attendant who flew many trips with him. He was such a joy, upbeat, funny and kind person. Such a great guy.
I took in early out in 2014, so I haven’t seen him in awhile. I moved back to Buffalo because this is home. He and I used to laugh about his gravesite because it is a stones throw from my ggrandparents. It is a lovely and serene place. I plan to visit after you have had your ceremony for him out of respect and privacy for your family.
Please accept my sympathies and know he was greatly loved by many.
