I was recently back in the Hamburg/ Eden area visiting my aunt and I heard of Mrs. Wolf’s passing. My condolences to her family. I spent many, many happy hours of my childhood playing in their home and the woods surrounding it. I remember Mrs. Wolf making us wonderful box lunches and yummy steaks on toast. It sounds like Jeanne had a full, long life but it is always sad to say good bye. Best wishes to all of her family.

My first meeting with my dear friend Jeanne was when I presented her with birthday flowers many years ago. Our mutual love of ferns and gardening created an instant bond that endured from that day forward. She so enjoyed our many 'garden walks,' though only through photo albums and stories of garden adventures shared within her home, which she so affectionately referred to as her 'tree house.' She was a wonderful friend, whose extraordinary way with words touched my heart, and will be sorely missed.

Upon first meeting Jeanne, because of our shared interest in art, we became fast friends. Despite our 52 year age difference and the 3000 miles of distance between us, we had a priceless friendship built through letters and phone calls. It meant so much to me to have those visits with her when I was home visiting during the holidays. Her humor, wit and caring were infectious. She truly was a treasure. The world will be a little bit emptier with her gone. All my love to you Jeanne.

I am going to miss our little chats when you called the store. I remember how excited you were that your family took you to see Lion King and Sheas. I am glad you had a great life until the end. I am so sorry to hear of Jeanne’s passing. What an amazing woman she was. I met her doing meals on wheels. We would keep her house for the last delivery so we could spend a few extra minutes with her. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I will truly miss my friend and neighbor Mrs. Wolf. It was a pleasure coming over each week and seeing your face. We shared many laughs together.
