Obituary of Christine M. Penn

Christine M. Penn (nee: Musiak) of Eden, NY, went home to the Lord surrounded by her family on December 5, 2018 after a sudden illness.

Christine is survived by her husband 53 years, Ernest Penn, her children Ernest Jr (Mary), Carrie (Gregory) Jacobs, Christopher (Kathryn) and Eric (Brianne). She was the grandmother to Emily Penn; Gregory Jr., Jenna, Brian, and Sean Jacobs; Madeline and Seth Penn; and Isabella Jack, Liviya and Trey Penn. She is also survived by her brother, Edwin Musiak, and sister to Doreen Watson. Additionally, she will be missed by her brother in laws, sister in laws and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Penn was born in Lackawanna, New York on May 29, 1946. She met her husband, Ernest, while writing letters to him while he was serving in the Army. They married on July 31, 1965 after a year of dating. They settled in Blasdell, NY where they raised their four children. They moved to Eden to be close to their daughter and her family.    

Christine was active in supporting her church. She was a friend to many, especially Joan Skoczylas.  Christine could light up a room with her smile and she enjoyed just striking up a conversation with the person next to her.

Services were arranged through Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden where the wake was held on Sunday December 9, 2018 with Mass celebrated on Monday Dec. 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, Eden.

Christine will be missed by her loving family and dear friends.
