My dear JoAnne ( Mary Jane) as one of her students called her and of course -she knew the connotation/- but she laughed as she told us the story. I thought of the 3 of us ( Jo, Rose & I) working at NCHS as the 3 stooges! Jo was the funniest and she always took a bad situation into a laughing journey! I cannot help shedding tears right now for my loss ... the loss of her smile and corny jokes. As we all parted our ways - we stayed in touched, I can honestly say - not enough- from my part. Our condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother, John and your wife Mr Heferle.. She was a great person, neighbor, and like a 2nd mother. I remember how kind and friendly she was. She will truely be missed. I'll always remember when ever I saw her she was smiling and happy to say hi. She always asked about my mom and dad.

Bob and family - I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Joanne’s passing. She was a very sweet gentle lady and always so loving toward my grandsons Luke and Liam. It’s wonderful, Bob, that you and Joanne were able to spend some wonderful times together at your Florida place. I’m sorry I never got down to visit you two.
