My mother, Debbie Schwert and Aunt Janet Nevinger enjoyed many happy hours playing bridge with Mrs.Cerne and Mrs. Bernaki. Sometimes I would drop in to see the foursome playing. They were a lively bunch made more so by Mrs. Cerne’s great sense of humor and fun. I will always remember her bright and beautiful smile. I send my sincere condolences to Rich and Lisa, Gary and the whole extended Cerne family.
Warmly,
Mimi Schwert

Cerne family, so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a great friend to our mom, Mary Jane and our parents were such good friends. She was always there when needed. I remember her laugh. I remember the pinochle games. There was always laughter and fun. My mom considered your mom her best friend. My condolences and thoughts are with you all.

The RECCKIO families send prayers and thoughts to your family. Fond memories of driving to the blueberry and apple orchards in the back of my mom’s vista cruiser station wagon.
What a great lady! Big heart! She and mom were friends a long time. It was an honor to know her.

Grew up down the road from the Cerne’s. She was the cool mom that would let all the kids hang out at the house and play pool or swim and just hang out!! She had a GREAT laugh and an all around fun lady!!
She’s now reunited with her loving husband.
Rest In Peace Mrs. Cerne

I was in the Immaculate Conception school in Eden, when I first met Mrs Cerne. (1973)..I was 6, in the first grade, and she was the lunch room Mom monitor. So you can imagine being a little guy, looking up at this towering person, as she grabbed my ear and said to me..” I thought I told you to stand in the hallway”...as she escorted me out to the hallway, it was only then she looked on the other side of the hall door and saw my identical twin brother Mike standing there, and bellowed out with that wonderful laugh, “ I DIDNT KNOW THERE WERE TWO OF YA’s!” This story we’ve told and talked about many times throughout the years. I was very fortunate to reminisce and laugh w/ her about this just prior to her passing. How lucky I was to have known her, and have her sons like brothers to me. God bless her and her family.❤️
