Obituary of Lenora Rose Brown

Lenora Rose Brown (nee: Turley), age 84, of Eden, New York died Wednesday, July 8, 2020. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. She was the only child of Mr. William and Mrs. Cecile (Shumway) Turley. She married her devoted husband Mr. Joseph M. Brown on July 20, 1958 in West Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. She was a loyal and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her love of animals; having many pets throughout the years including a pet squirrel. She was proud of obtaining her pistol permit and her hunting license. She was a member and served unselfishly within the First Church of Evans. She served on many committees and was very involved with her role as a Sunday School Teacher. She also was a Weight Watchers Coach for many years; encouraging those who were looking to lose weight. She also worked as a cook for 20 years at the Hamburg Health Care, now known as Elderwood at Hamburg in Hamburg, New York. In her spare time she enjoyed reading. Besides her parents William and Cecile Turley, Lenora is predeceased by a grandson, Kane William-Grayling Brown (Pixley) She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Brown, a daughter; Jennie M. Brown and a grandson Seth-Joseph M. Brown. Keeping with Lenora’s wishes no services will be held.
