Obituary of Edna C Lilga

Edna Caroline Lilga ,97, of Eden New York died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in her home. She was born September 1, 1913 in her family's home in East Eden, NY. She was the daughter of Fred and Julia (Henry) Lilga. Edna graduated from Hamburg High School in 1933. After graduation she attended Bryant and Stratton and completed her studies in 1942. Edna worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield and retired from there after 29 loyal years of service. Edna enjoyed traveling all around the world, but her favorite place to be was her home. Her hobbies included baking her famous cookies, crocheting, cross country skiing, and caring for her gladiolus. Her family was most important to her, along with all of her special friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Alton Lilga, Laura Cohoon, Chester and Clarence Lilga. Surviving are her seven nieces and nephews; Marian (Charles) Crowder, James Cohoon, Donald (Sharon) Lilga, Patricia (Daniel) Heather, Robert (Bonnie) Cohoon, Ruth (David) Ranke, Nancy (Frank) McIlvaine; 11 great nieces and nephews, 13 great-great nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Irene Lilga. Family invites friends to call Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2:00PM-3:00PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3487 North Boston Road, Eden, NY followed by a funeral service at 3:00PM Burial will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
