Shirley Palmerton, 92 of Eden, New York, frequent contributor to the Buffalo News View, short story author, nurse, and homemaker, died peacefully in her sleep on April 18, 2021.
She was a member of St. John’s Community Church of Eden, NY nearly all her life holding multiple positions and volunteered for events whether cooking, serving, seating, decorating, or directing traffic. She and her husband Bill enjoyed retirement in their motorhome traveling across North America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Palmerton and son Craig. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Palmerton of Wake Forest, NC, and Marlene Gardner of Marshall, VA; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews and best friend Wilma Jordan.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00AM in Evergreen Cemetery, 2870 E. Church St. Eden, NY In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. John’s Community Church, 2871 E. Church St., Eden, NY 14057.
