Gene was such a sweet soul. It’s of no surprise to me that he and Jane found each other. They made it through many trials and I’ve always admired them together! Gene was quiet, but always showed me his caring side. Anytime he saw me, I just knew he was happy to see me. It made me feel good, and I always left feeling warm and happy. I feel blessed to have known such a kind man and I will never forget him! To my sweet Jane and family, I am just so sorry! May you find comfort in each other and in the good times. XOXOXO
Sending lots of love,
Jenny (Frye) Carlson

Jane I’m so sad to hear about Gene. Didn’t see him often, but never missed a beat, picking up where we left off. Gene was a quiet, sweet man: you two were the perfect pair. You guys have always been family to us. Gene, and you, have quite the legacy through your kids and grandkids. Love and sympathy to all of you. May Gene Rest In Peace .

A quiet guy but couldn't help but like him. As Brenda said- remembering the good times back in the 70's. So sorry Gene had to be on dialysis - takes alot of the fun out of life. Sure he was proud of his kids and grand kids. My sympathies to you all. Best of memories at this time. Jane-any thing I can do to help?

Geno Beano worked next door when I was little. He would always fix my shoes cause they were on the wrong feet and help me tie them. My thoughts and condolences are with his family.

jane: Doug and I are so sorry to hear this. We've lost touch over the years but have continued to remember all the crazy, stupid, wild things we (they) did. Gene was the best man at our wedding and from there on we were all together through some great times. Doug and Gene were inseparable. From eating bugs at the cc camp and state lands parties to Doug making you laugh so hard you went into labor. All the froglegs they hunted and we cooked.. good good times. We grew apart over the years but thought often of the good times and the many memories. Nothing will ever take those memories away of all the fun times. Keep the memories always.. We are thinking of you and the family thru this. Reach out if you need too.
