Obituary of Freida M. McCord

MCCORD-Freida (Obleski) passed away peacefully at the age of 99. She now joins her husband of 55 years, Richard McCord, who died in 2004. Freida is survived by her sister Elizabeth and brother Bert. Also left behind are her son Michael (Marilyn), their children, Carrie (Ivan), Chardonnay (Jeffrey) and Nathan (Becky), plus six grandchildren. As well as daughter Cynthia (David) and their children, Kevin and Sarah.
She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. We hope you will remember her as a dedicated nurse, a great wife, the best mother and a true friend who loved cards, lunches and phone calls with her many friends.
It was her wish to not have a funeral but to be cremated and her ashes returned to the hills of PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation of food and/or money to a nearby food pantry. She loved volunteering at the Eden Food Bank, so please consider the Eden – North Collins Food Pantry, P.O. Box 76, Eden, NY 14057
