Obituary of Edith Ann Vaccaro

Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith A. (Zamojski) Vaccaro, 85 of Eden, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was a 1954 graduate of Bishop McMahon High School, and was proud of her career as a key punch operator. Edith raised her family in West Seneca and later enjoyed living independently at Carnation Senior Apartments, where she had many friends. In her final two years, she lived in Eden with her daughter and family. Recently, she spent much time reminiscing about her summers at Sunset Bay, where her family owned a cottage and she worked at the Pavilion. She loved spending time with her sister at grandma’s cottage and fishing with her father. Throughout her life she enjoyed ceramics, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. Edith is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Thomas J. Vaccaro, and her parents Jacob and Viola (Casazza) Zamojski. She is survived by her sister Beverly (Ronald) Lillie; children Deborah (Phil Rehard) Smalling, Thomas (Renee) Vaccaro and Tony Vaccaro; grandchildren TJ (Leslie Homistek) Vaccaro, Carson (Hannah) Smalling, Brenden (Rachel Coffee) Smalling, Zachary Smalling, Victoria Vaccaro and Isabella Vaccaro; and, great-granddaughter Aria Faye Vaccaro, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
