Obituary of Earl A. Frampton
Frampton, Earl A. - Reunited with the love of his life, Jeanne Frampton, on October 8, 2024. Earl passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Earl was a storyteller, labor leader, skilled tradesman, community organizer, activist, teacher, mentor, Navy veteran, loving husband, father and grandfather.
Earl was a lineman, cable splicer and business installer for the New York Telephone Company (Verizon), for 35 years. He was a past president and vice president of Local 1115 Communication Workers of America for 21 years and CWA/Western New York council president of 11 locals and retirees for 11 years. He was active in politics and community service or over 40 years.
He was an AFL/CIO Community services liaison for the United Way in Lockport, New York in Niagara County. He was proud of his union and personal connections that enabled him to create community service programs that enhanced the well being of numerous communities and groups of people. Earl received a multitude of awards from various charitable, union, and civic organizations for his dedicated work in local communities. He made a positive difference in so many peoples lives.
A proud veteran of the US Navy, Earl proudly displayed the American flag in his home, and work places to honor those who served and fought for American freedom and liberty.
He is survived by his children, Lorraine Frampton, Eric (Jane) Frampton, Lisa (Glenn) Scott. Pre-deceased by his son, Earl R. Frampton. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of William (Buddy) Frampton, James Frampton, and honorary brother, Ross Korhummel. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Earl will be remembered by all for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to helpling others in need.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday October 14 from 2-4 and 6-9PM at Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden followed by a Funeral service on Tuesday October 15 at 10AM in the Eden United Methodist Church. Flowers are gratefully declined.
