Obituary of Lorraine H. Rich

Rich, Lorraine (Harwood) Ithaca, NY Formerly from Derby and Eden, NY. Passed away peacefully Friday, April 15, 2011 at age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Adin P. Rich. Lorrie will be missed by her sons, Bruce (Lyngayen), Ithaca NY, Robert (Janice), Webster, NY, and Douglas (Frances), Lumberton, NC, sister Nina Dusenbury McMahon, Derby NY, sister-in-law Mary Lou Harwood, formerly of Derby and Newfane, NY, 6 grandchildren (spouses), 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lorrie spent several years as a stay at home mom, and then completed a 25 year career as a case worker with Erie County Department of Social Services. In addition she was a Home Extension (Home Bureau) volunteer and food pantry. Her loves were her family and her music. During her adult life, up until the last 10 years, she sang with the First Church of Evans and then with the Eden United Methodist Church choirs. She also sang with the Buffalo Gateway Sweet Adelines. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Lakeside Memorial Park and Mausoleum. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Eden United Methodist Church, Eden, NY.
