Claude E. "Pee Wee" Hallett, 81, of Randolph, died Saturday June 18, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 16, 1929 in Cherry Creek, NY the son of Clyde G. and Elizabeth (Chelton) Hallett Sr. On September 17, 1945 he married his loving wife Wilma J. (Emke) Hallett who predeceased him December 21, 1981. Mr. Hallett proudly served in the US Army from 1947-1951. He had worked at various businesses in the area and retired from MRC Bearings in Falconer after 11 years of dedicated service as a Millwright. Mr. Hallett enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was always smiling and cracking a joke. He was known as a great story teller. He loved operating heavy equipment and would be seen in the summer mowing his yard on his tractor. He was a friend to all and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his companion Betty J. Tuller with whom he made his home with, a son Greg (Barb) Hallett of New Albion, 2 daughters Claudia Cleveland of Randolph, Margie Toomer of Sanford, NC, 4 grandsons, 6 grand daughters, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren survive. A brother Clyde G. Hallett Jr. of Brooksville, FL, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his wife, a daughter Penny Lou Hallet and a brother Carl Hallett predeceased him. At the request of Mr. Hallett, visitation will not be observed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 25, 2011 from 2pm to 4pm at the Little Valley American Legion Little Valley, NY.
