Obituary of Ronald J. Swartz

Ronald J. Swartz, 69, of Eden, New York died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in his residence. He was born January 12, 1942 in Buffalo, New York, the son of Joseph and Leona (Wiedman) Swartz. Mr. Swartz was married to his loving wife Linda (Swanson) Swartz for nearly 45 years. He proudly served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at Immaculate Conception Church, where he also served as an usher. He played the electric base guitar from the age of eighteen until he was 50 years old. He played in several bands with Hank Brooks, Boots Hanner, and Ron Carlson. Besides his wife, Linda, Mr. Swartz is survived by two daughters; Laurie (Tim) Brockman and Jennifer Swartz. Also surviving is one sister Sharon (James) Natwora, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Eden. Rev. Walter Grabowski will be celebrant. Graveside services, with full military services, will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W.
