Ida Potupajlenko, 85, of Eden, New York died Wednesday, August 3, 2011. She was born June 18, 1926 in Zell, Germany, the daughter of the late Reinhold and Mina (Bantel) Muehleisen. She was a member of St. John's Community Church in Eden, NY. She was an amazing gardener and baker. She enjoyed spreading her cheer to nursing homes and hospital by taking her homemade cookies for all to enjoy. She was know for being a kind and gentle women that put everyone else before herself. If she knew of anyone being sick and in any hospital in Western New York; she was known to show up for a visit. She was the beloved wife of the late Mychajlo (Mike), dearest sister of Theodor (late Ann) Muehleisen of NY, Marriane, Elfriede, Frida, Emma, Rosa, and Walter, all of Germany. She was the loving Aunt to Angela (late Mike) Gallagher, Monica (Dave) Rudnick, Ted (Mary), and Michael Muehleisen. Cherished Oma to Jennifer, Ted, Derek, Jessica, Tom, Steven, Kara, Brian, and James. She was the dearest friend of Chuck Darlrymple. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews in Germany. Family and friends are invited to call Monday, August 8, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 West Church Street, Eden, NY Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in the St. John's Community Church, Eden, NY at 11:00AM Dr. James Reidling will officiate.
