Obituary of David A. Hock

David A. Hock, of Eden, NY passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 55. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Hock was also committed to community service. Aside from his years with Gene Hock Excavating, David graduated from the Police Academy in 2000 and began serving different departments as a K-9 Officer. Mr. Hock was a Past Chief and Exempt member of the Armor Vol. Fire Co. and served as a trustee of the Eden United Methodist Church. A son of the late Eugene and Arletta (Bond) Hock, David was born in Buffalo and grew-up in Hamburg, NY. He leaves behind his wife Linda (Laing), son David (Laura), daughter Elizabeth (Clayton) Moden and granddaughter Millie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 10th at 11:00am at the Eden United Methodist Church 2820 E. Church St. Eden, NY. Private Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Eden. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, 6:00 – 9:00 pm and Wednesday, 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm at the Laing Funeral Home Inc 2724 W. Church St. Eden. The family gratefully declines flowers.
