I remember Mrs Blatner as a pretty lady that was full of energy and always welcoming to me. I would visit Marcia and she would invite me to have a homemade cookie and a glass of milk at the kitchen table and she would always be warm and interested. She would tell me about all the goings-on in Eden and with her family, and I would tell all about my family and what I knew about the goings-on in Eden. She especially wanted to know who the trouble-makers were and who the good teachers were and what did I think of the new priest at Immaculate Conception etc. She was truely values-driven in her beliefs and faith, she was a consummate Democrat and Catholic. Heaven has gained a special soul. My condolences to all the Blatners, and extended family, I know they held their Mom- grandma dear to them and she will be greatly missed. I wish I could be there with you, but I will be there in spirit at 6 AM my time on Saturday. God Bless Dorothy Blatner Laco.
