I have had the best of dads and yes that is plural. The dad who taught me a love for poetry and literature and my host dad (Glen Karstedt) who warmed my feet on a cold winter's night which had me wondering" What's up with this white guy?" (I was raised during the Apartheid era in South Africa. Dad (Glen) taught me a love for skiing both cross country and downhill, an appreciation of a quiet ski run during the winter morning when you can catch sight of nature at her finest and just to make sure I would be safe he taught me to shoot with a hunting rifle. You will be sorely missed Dad (Glen).
