Ron was a great teacher and advisor for me starting as a 4H leader, fellow Director of the Niagara Frontier Farmers Market, Board Member of Eden Valley Growers and lifelong fellow Vegetable Farmer and Eden Firefighter. Many thanks to a totally dedicated mentor, RIP!

Ronnie was my oldest cousin and I remember him always being a part of my life. I always looked forward to seeing him when I was up for the Alumni Weekend and was sad that I didn't see him the past few years.
Kathy, Ronnie and Michelle, please know I am thinking of you and will keep you all in my prayers.
Love,
Leslee

Kathy, Ron & Michelle,
We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. We have many wonderful memories of him. Emory served in the fire department with your dad. Your dad & mom kept us up to date on all of you when we attended the fire department picnics & parties. Mary was a neighbor of your mom & dad's. They were great neighbors. especially to Mary's mom & dad. She remembers babysitting for all of you & now you have children & grandchildren. May your memories be a source of comfort at this time. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.

Ronnie had a special friendship with Moe and Nancy Griffin. So many great memories for so many years. As Griffin children we greatly appreciated your contribution to the community and a “true” brother of the fire department. Such a hard working sole. Rest in peace and enjoy your reunion with your wife and the “gang”.
God Bless
Charlene Griffin

Michelle, Kathy, & Ron:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Your Dad was always doing something for the Fire Department, whether it was Friday nights and drills, marching, water ball, or The Corn Festival, he made a difference!! He always took the time to talk to you and I know when he came over to Stand #2 he would sit and visit with Moe and Nancy (my parents) and the laughing would begin!! He is with the gang now and I'm sure there is a lot of laughing and kidding going on! Peace be with all of you!

Michele, Kathy, Ron .
My deepest sympathies go out to all of you. Your father. (Mr. Salzman) As I always referred to him. Was a very hard-working, fun, loving, and loved his family. He would give you the shirt off of his back. From working hard on his farm, to plowing out driveways in the winter time, taking care of the church, dedicating his 62 years to the Eden fire department. Many water Ball days, Friday night at the fire hall. And of course, the Eden corn festival. Our dad/mom We’re very good friends with both Mr. and Mrs. Salzman. They spent many times in and around the fire department and outside the fire department as longtime friends. I have nothing but respect for Mr. Salzman. He will definitely be missed in this community. May God bless his kids. Rest in peace. God bless. Chris Griffin.

Kathy, Ron, Michelle,
I am flooded with memories of my time working on your farm. Those days spent working for Ron and Jim were not just about the tasks at hand; they were about learning, growing, and lots of humor that created an environment that felt like home, and I am so grateful for those moments.
From the early mornings in the fields to the laughter shared during breaks, each experience shaped my character in ways I still carry with me today. Your dad taught me the value of hard work I will always cherish.
Thank you for being such an incredible family!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sandy
